Fall sausage

This dish is super easy to make and always pleases fall palates (for meat eaters, at least). It all cooks together, so another one of my “throw in the oven and you have a fantastic meal” dishes. More time for you to enjoy your guests as well as be the Mostest Hostess.

Serves 4


4 links of sweet Italian sausage

4 red bliss potatoes

1 red bell pepper

1/4 white onion

1 T cinnamon

1 red apple

1 T olive oil

1 cup water


1. Preheat oven to 350.

2. Slice potatoes into fours, slice onion and apples lengthwise into strips.

3. Fill a ceramic oven-safe dish (with a lid) with the water, the olive oil, and the cinnamon.

4. Add the potatoes, onion, apple, and sausage to the dish. Cover.

5. Place in oven. Bake for about an hour. Voila! Dinner is served.
